What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is an FDA-approved fat reduction procedure that does not involve surgery or any invasive procedures. Using a precise cooling technology, CoolSculpting® targets the fat cells in specific areas where there are bulges of fat. Freezing the fat with a specific temperature, the fat crystallizes and dies. As they die, the body naturally disposes of the fat cells and they exit the body. That way, the fat can’t return and it’s gone for good.

Because CoolSculpting® uses a precise temperature and applicator, you don’t have to worry about any long-term, damaging effects to the body. The procedure is non-surgical, so you’ll be able to return to your normal activities once the procedure is done. You can even go to the gym or other physical activity that you participate in.

When Will I See CoolSculpting® Results?

After your initial treatment, you could see CoolSculpting® results in as little as 3 weeks. The most dramatic results will be seen after 2 months, while you will continue to see results 4 to 6 months after your treatment.

Your doctor may schedule more than one treatment, so to see the best results it’s important to be patient with your body. The results from CoolSculpting® are up to your body and how you treat it, as well as your body’s ability to process the dead fat cells.

In order to lengthen your results and make the most of your CoolSculpting® procedure, it is suggested to practice healthy habits.

Healthy Diet

You don’t have to follow a specific diet regimen with CoolSculpting®, but maintaining healthy eating habits is important to the longevity of you results. Like any diet that you may had gone through, you don’t immediately start back up on bad habits that made you retain unwanted fat in the first place. Instead, you watch what you eat a little more, cut back on any snacking, and make overall healthier choices.

Cutting back on fast food is one of the many ways to help your CoolSculpting® results last. You don’t have to completely give it up, but eating it a few times a week can result in the reversal of your results.

Exercise Regularly

Like your diet, you don’t have to adhere to a specific workout regimen and become a body builder. Rather, you want to have some sort of physical activity present in your life. Not only is it important in maintaining your CoolSculpting® results, but regularly exercising can help your heart health, metabolism, blood circulation, and overall internal health.

Exercising helps maintain your results, and maybe even speed up the process. It has been proven that patients who exercise in regular physical activity have experienced the most dramatic results. Go on walks at lunch or after dinner, go to the gym a few times a week and walk on a treadmill, or pick up yoga.

CoolSculpting® Check-Ups

After undergoing an initial CoolSculpting® treatment plan, many patients come back for periodic CoolSculpting® treatments. You don’t have to undergo a full treatment plan again, but some of our patients come back once or twice a year.
